Personal assessment as part of the recruitment process

Personal assessment is one part of an organization’s recruitment process. The significance of the assessment for the final mutual decision may vary significantly.

If the organization decides not to select you, this does not necessarily mean that you are unsuited to the task in question. On the other hand, when making a decision you should not let good aptitude overshadow other relevant factors.  Competence, work experience, motivation, and personal qualities in relation to the position at hand include important issues the significance of which need to be carefully considered.

It is impossible to evaluate with 100% certainty the suitability of an individual to a job, where requirements change constantly. However, a professionally conducted and high-quality personal assessment usually provides both the candidate and the organization with useful information to make a decision.
